Ninety per cent of the charity's Rescue , Rehabilitation and Rehoming work is carried out by an army of 5,000 dedicated volunteers. Each year, they help over 150,000 cats and rehome over 50,000.
Tireless in their commitment to helping cats and kittens, these volunteers :
- Trap and neuter feral cats
- Foster cats at their own homes
- Rehabilitate sick and timid cats
- Provide transport to and from vets
- Distribute neutering vouchers
- Rehome rescued cats
- Raise money to fund their work
- Provide the best care possible to countless cats every day
CAMBERLEY CATS PROTECTION NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:
HOMING VISITORS
This role involves visiting prospective owners in their homes, to ensure that their situation is conducive to the welfare of our cats and kittens.
FOSTER CARERS
We are always in need of foster carers, to look after our cats in your own home or garden. This is one of the many worthwhile roles, and involves seeing
many cats, some of whom may be ill, injured or just frightened, become happy, healthy cats ready to go to a new home.
PUBLICITY OFFICER
At present we are in need of a Publicity Officer. This role involves contacting the local media, composing or collating articles from various sources, and ensuring
that all fundraising events are well publicised. This role would suit someone with media experience, or who is presently studying for a media degree.
For further information on any of these roles, please call us on 01276 685652 or email us.
Donations of food, litter, toys, bedding, etc., are always needed to help us care for our foster cats, and also those that members of the general public are kind enough to look after until we bring them into care.
